As Women’s Day approaches, IPS SP Southern Anshika Verma has received an honorable award, the Women Icon Award. She took part in the fifth annual BRICS CCI WE Women’s Summit in New Delhi. Rekha Gupta, Delhi CM, herself honored IPS Anshika and also released a book on Anshika’s work.
IPS Anshika Verma talked about embracing the challenges of policing among the different levels of women representatives from many different countries in this international high-level conference. She went ahead to describe the efforts at Gorakhpur and Bareilly and then stated that women are not less to any other person in any field. Once determined, they can face any challenge.
Anshika Verma, who has returned to Bareilly, added that Women’s Day was part of the summit organized to focus on women’s economic empowerment in BRICS countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa. Very importantly, IPS Anshika Verma was also conferred with a Women Icon Award at the summit.
Who is IPS Anshika Verma?
IPS Anshika Verma belongs to the 2021 training batch. She was born and brought up in Prayag Raj. She did studying engineering but prepared for UPSC by herself without coaching, though self-study. Now, she works as the southern SP of Bareilly. She is efficient in cases of harassment of women and cyber crimes.
