After more than four decades, an Indian Prime Minister visited Kuwait, that’s a historic step by PM Modi to strengthen the relations between India & Kuwait. The PM was on a two-day visit to Kuwait at the invitation of Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He actively interacted with the Indians living in Kuwait and boosted their morale.
Mahabharata and Ramayana written in Arabic language gifted to PM
In Kuwait City, he met with Abdul Latif Alnesif & Abdullah Baron. Abdul Latif Alnesif is the publisher of Ramayana and Mahabharata books written and published in Arabic language and Abdullah Baron is the translator of Ramayana and Mahabharata in Arabic language. They both gifted PM Modi the Mahabharata and Ramayana written in the Arabic language.
PM’s Meeting with the Emir of Kuwait
The agenda of the meeting between PM Modi & Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah was to discuss cooperation in major areas such as pharmaceuticals, IT, fintech, infrastructure, and security. Furthermore, to strengthen the ties between the two countries, PM Modi was honored with “The Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer” by the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah.
On the second day of Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Kuwait, he was welcomed by Prime Minister Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The two heads of state reminisced on the past shared historical and friendly ties between India and Kuwait and expressed commitment to take bilateral cooperation to even greater heights. The Kuwaiti Prime Minister came to see off PM Modi at the airport as he was going back to India.
