This Tuesday morning, the Russian capital Moscow was attacked by a Ukrainian bomb attack which led to the death of the Nuclear Defence General of Russia, Igor Kirillov. He was accused of using chemical weapons in war against Ukraine. According, to sources he was killed outside an apartment that is around 7 km away from the Kremlin.
What is RKhBZ?
The defense troops that work under the circumstances of radioactive, chemical, and biological contamination are known as RKhBZ. Kirillov was the chief of RKhBZ.
Two Dead Bodies Cited
As per the images circulating, along with Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, another body was found, which was believed to be of his assistant. The bomb was hidden in an electric scooter that was near his apartment. After the bomb went off, the scenes were horrific as the snow was covered in blood and two dead bodies were lying there.
Ukraine’s Explanation for Killings
He was 54 years old and was involved in several wrongdoings done to Ukraine in the ongoing war. UK, Canada, and other countries have imposed sanctions against him due to the misuse of chemical weapons in the war against Ukraine. Ukraine has declared that he was a war criminal and that’s why a legitimate target.
