In the early morning today, around 6 AM, a huge fire incident occurred in Bhankrota, Jaipur where a gas tanker lost balance and collided with several other vehicles including a truck carrying chemicals. This truck carrying chemicals exploded immediately which led to the spreading of the chemical all around the place and all the nearby cars were caught in the fire. More than 20 vehicles including a sleeper bus and several cars were caught in this fire.
According to the sources, at least 5 people have died and 37 have been injured in this incident. All the injured people have been admitted to the SMS hospital of Jaipur and are undergoing treatment in the care of the hospital’s best doctors.
The explosion was so massive that the noise was heard even 10 km away. The people of Bhankarota woke up from their sleep due to the noise and were left in chaos. As the fuel tanks of the nearby vehicles burst, several other explosions occurred. People in the nearby areas are advised not to go out until the situation is under control.
All the vehicles have been diverted to a different reroute so that the traffic situation can be kept under control. More than 20 fire brigade vehicles are trying to control the fire. A part of a nearby petrol pump was also caught up in fire. A nearby pipe factory was also turned to ashes due to this massive fire.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma reached the SMS hospital and inquired about the injured people. As per sources, the condition of injured people is critical and the doctors are continuously monitoring their situation.
