After the November elections, all eyes have been on Trump and his decisions once he becomes President. As per sources, Trump is against the most eclectic vehicle (EV) policies of Biden. He wants to support the traditional consumption of oil, as he has promised their executives if they supported his campaign. He is not at all concerned about climate change.
Relying More on Fossil Fuels
He doesn’t want the renewable energy model of Biden to thrive in the future, and he wants to double the consumption of energy, based on fossil fuels. He further wants to reduce funds for EVs, stations for charging EVs, and harmful emissions control. He doesn’t want to rely on China for car and battery manufacturing.
Trump’s Strategy to Impose Tariffs
Despite the warnings, Trump is adamant about imposing heavy tariffs on battery manufacturing parts. This can disrupt the relations of America with several other countries.
Trump always said that he wanted to make America great again. But his current state of mind will impact Biden’s progress in preserving the environment. He considers climate change a hoax, and with such a mindset, air pollution from vehicles will slowly warm the atmosphere, causing drastic changes in the climate.
