On Friday, Telugu film star Allu Arjun was arrested due to the Pushpa 2 screening in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, in which one woman lost her life. He was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court on Friday, but still, he had to spend one night in jail. His lawyer strongly criticized Hyderabad jail for not releasing Allu, even after the court granted him bail. As according to law in jail, a prisoner can’t be released in night. And in his case, bail papers reached jail late in the night, that’s why he was released, the next day.
According to sources, he was released on Saturday, at around 6:40 AM in the morning out of the Chanchalguda prison in Hyderabad. After he was released from jail, he gave the statement that he is a law-abiding citizen and was ready to cooperate. He reached his home after the release and was greeted by his family wholeheartedly and his wife Sneha Reddy was hugging him and broke down in his arms.
Film industry meets Allu Arjun
Several industry stars, including Rana Dagubatti, Naga Chaitanya, Vijay Deverkonda, and Sukumar, the director of Pushpa 2, came to meet Allu Arjum at his home on Saturday.
There was a clash between the judgment of the courts as a lower court remanded him to fourteen days judicial custody while the high court granted him bail after paying a bail amount of Rs.50,000.
