A horrendous accident has occurred in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. The accident killed 10 devotees, while 19 incurred injuries. After being informed of the incident, the police quickly arrived at the site. Police have taken the bodies in their custody and admitted the injured into the hospital.
As per reports, a nightmarish road accident on the Prayagraj-Mirzapur highway occurred in Meja, late Friday night. The accident claimed the lives of 10 devotees. A Bolero packed with devotees collided head-on with a bus.
All the ten devotees in the Bolero died on the spot of the accident. All were from the Korba district in Chhattisgarh. All 10 of the pilgrims in the Bolero were travelling for the Sangam bath.
Nineteen passengers in the bus were heading for Varanasi after taking a bath in Sangam; they were injured in the accident too. All the injured have been admitted to CHC Ramnagar. All bus passengers were from Rajgarh district, Madhya Pradesh.
Bus was travelling on right side
It is said that the tourist bus was going on its own side when a speedy Bolero coming from the front collided straight on with it. Ten devotees and the driver travelling in the Bolero lost their lives. Rodmal, an injured devotee travelling in the bus, stated that most of the people in the bus were asleep at the time of the accident. Suddenly there was a horrible collision. I was awake at the time of the accident and was sitting in the cabin of the bus. The Bolero coming at a high speed collided from the front.
Names of the deceased
The devotees who died in the accident were identified as Ishwari Prasad Jaiswal, Santosh Soni, Bhagirathi Jaiswal, Somnath, Ajay Banjare, Saurabh Kumar Soni, Ganga Das Verma, Shiva Rajput, Deepak Verma, Raju Sahu, all residents of Korba, Chhattisgarh, who were travelling in the Bolero.
According to authorities, all the deceased were identified through their Aadhar cards and mobile numbers in their pockets. The police informed the relatives of the deceased about the incident. The relatives have left Chhattisgarh. All the devotees travelling in the Bolero were going directly from Chhattisgarh to Prayagraj Maha Kumbh.
