US President Trump can put a ban on travel to America from 41 countries, including the likes of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bhutan, to safeguard the interests of his nation against illegal immigration. Full preparations by security personnel are in place for the task.
Some reports have said that these restrictions will be much stricter than the restrictions imposed on travelers from seven Muslim countries during the last Trump administration. Special recommendations were made by security officials for a partial ban on issuing US visas to 26 countries, Pakistan among them. This also includes Turkmenistan, Belarus, Bhutan, and Vanuatu.
In addition, the 10 countries that have been put into the red list are: Afghanistan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. Thus, it will completely suspend such citizens’ visas. Restrictions will also apply with tourist, student, and immigrant visas for five countries: Eritrea, Haiti, Laos, Myanmar, and South Sudan, but under some conditions.
No entry for Pakistani ambassador Wagon in America
The United States has recently refused to let the ambassador of Pakistan to Turkmenistan, KK Wagon, enter his country. He was deported from Los Angeles. U.S. immigration authorities flagged Wagon due to controversial visa references, which brought immediate deportation.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry rejected the ban
The Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry termed all these reports about travelling restrictions as speculations. Shafqat Ali Khan, spokesman of the foreign office, indicated that Pakistan has not, so far, received any official intimation of such restriction. This is speculation at the moment, he said, so there is no point in reacting to it.
