ATS Agra has detained Ravindra Kumar, charge man at the Ordnance Factory in Firozabad, who was spying for the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. Shocking revelations have emerged from his mobile. Ravindra had saved the number of a girl named Neha, an ISI handler with whom he used to talk, under the name of his fellow employee so that nobody at home could have any suspicion about his activities.
The ISI had drawn in its moles in India using a honey trap to lure Ravindra Kumar. A so-called Neha Sharma sent a friend request, which was accepted. Their love-filled conversations followed. First, on Messenger, then introducing WhatsApp voice calls and eventually, phone calls.
In order to have private conversations with the ISI handler, Ravindra adjusted the girl’s ISI number in his mobile phone to that of a fellow employee of that Ordnance Factory; this way, his wife and other family members would not suspect anything.
Once caught inside the trap, the ISI handler started to extract classified information from Ravindra, whose clandestine activities drew the attention of several army projects under the pipeline at his plant. Big equipment were also being made. From WhatsApp, much information had been downloaded from Ravindra Kumar, with the buzzing of conversations on that very number already detected by intelligence agencies. A lot of classified documents that were sent out through WhatsApp were deleted. An FIR is registered in this regard in ATS Lucknow police station.
