On Tuesday night, Pakistan carried out an air strike at four points in the Barmal district of Paktika province of Afghanistan. This led to the death of 46 people. Most of them are children and women. This incident has escalated the tension between Pakistan & Afghanistan, which can lead to a war-like situation.
Taliban Will Take Revenge
Taliban has challenged Pakistan after this attack and warned Pakistan that they will retaliate with full force when the time comes. The Taliban’s defense ministry has called this act of Pakistan “barbaric & clear aggression”. They will protect their land & territory at any cost.

Pakistan’s March Attack
This is not the first time in this year that Pakistan has attacked Afghanistan. Similar, air-strikes were carried out by Pakistan in March also. Then, they attacked Paktika and Sapar districts, which led to the death of eight people. This attack laid the foundation of growing tensions between Pakistan & Afghanistan.
Influence of Pakistani Taliban (TTP)
After the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021, the influence of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has increased drastically. As a result, TTP has aggressively targeted Pakistan numerous times. The death of thousands of Pakistani soldiers is from such attacks. Many common citizens also suffered losses. Pakistan is claiming that they have killed many TTP terrorists in this airstrike, justifying their act.
